Quite a few "mains conditioners" have a habit of compressing dynamics when under heavy loads and generally speaking judging by what i have reasd the Isotek ones don't seem to generally have this trait. Never having owned or tried one I am making assumptions here. I have a Belkin PF30 unit which doesn't seem to do this, but had other ones in the past that did. Like you, others have also reported better dynamics from plugging their integrated or power amps directly into a wall socket. If your ears are telling you Trev that plugging directly into the wall socket gives you better sound then you have answered your own question and the remaining issue is can you justify keeping an expensive mains conditioner which cannot cope with supplying enough clean power for ALL your system

In the cold light of day Trev an Isotek isn't an insignificant investment and it isn't therefore unreasonable to expect it to perform to a reasonable standard, given that your power amp isn't, with all due respect to you, THE last word in high volume power output given that there are "hungrier" amps out there than yours. No disrespect intended of course in your choice of amp. If I were in your shoes I would contact Isotek directly and very politely explain your findings to them. Provided that you keep your query civil and matter-of-fact, they may lend you a sympathetic ear and make viable suggestions. I wouldn't though be swayed into parting with more money
