I have two of Russ Andrews mains chords, so how do they rate? They were a big improvement over the standard give away cables but I would like to know what's available that's better at not too much outlay.
Thanks

I didn't rate very highly the RA Yellow power cable which I had years ago. Bought a Krystal Kables Titan and that saw it off easily..

Not saying that he doesn't, but I would like to see less of his errrrrrm 'enthusiasm' for things that don't quite warrant it.

I think I would be more concerned if he was LESS enthusiastic about what he sells. My gripe was with Jake using the wrong name, nothing more.

Just a bit of banter and leg pulling by Jake. I bet Russ has become immune to it after all the years he has been in business and probably been called a lot worse too I would imagine

Yes I would imagine that Russ has acquired a rather thick skin after all these years in business, but that is no excuse to disrespect him as a person. Whether or not his products come up to scratch, or are good value is a valid discussion I will welcome, so we need to play the ball not the man as they say in soccer parlance.

Now you have all done poor old Russ to death, can you tell me what is a better power chord please? Talk about going of the subject!

Not available any more since Krystal Kables ceased trading. They come up secondhand now and again on ebay

I have bought a few things from Russ and have never returned anything and don't intend to. I have made all my mains leads using stuff from MCRU and have no idea how they might compare but the improvement over standard cables is so worth the outlay. I once heard a £600 mains lead make a difference to a Linn Lingo and struggle to this day how that can happen. I really do recommend you try some of the cheaper bits and pieces he sells like the shorties which are so cheap anyway but if they don't work for you then you can return them.
