Do I really need to mention Pink Floyd' 'Pulse'? OK then I won't Recently bought Peter Gabriel's 'Real World' and love it, despite not liking any of his studio recorded albums Another artist whose studio albums I don't much like is Sting. I have a bootleg CD of him at the Royal Albert Hall back in 2000, which is a completely different animal entirely from the usual stuff recorded in a studio. Full of life and energy rather than the bland tosh he otherwise releases to be honest. Someone said it has been ripped of from the soundtrack of Sky TV who filmed the event. Another cracker is Fleetwood Mac's 'The Dance' which is well recorded and performed. Roger Waters too sounds better live and 'In The Flesh' is rarely off my favourite playlist

Great choices.
Can I add the Dire Straits live albums? Having said that, they are one of the few bands that sound good in the studio as well as live gigs in my humble opinion

I have been meaning to get some Who recordings after I recently heard "Who are you?" on the radio. I rarely get excited by the trash the local radio station plays but I did give the volume control a turn or two when this track came on. Wonderful

After all these years I still enjoy listening to Cream's Wheels of Fire. Ginger Baker's drum solo still amazes me

Only recently discovered Nils Lofgren. I bought on a whim his "Keith Don't Go" live album and really enjoying it immensely. Have also listened to excerpts from his Acoustic Live album on the interweb and that is stunning. Waiting for ebay to have one for sensible money
