Welcome to Cable Junction!
This forum has been set up purely to discuss what other audio forums are loathe to - CABLES
After spending some 12 or so years posting on hi-fi forums debating and arguing about this very subject, few if any at all have resulted in a happy conclusion. Why? I really don't know to be honest, because to me cables are just another component that adds or detracts from the overall sound quality. They are merely part of the electrical chain from source to loudspeaker and as with any chain it can only be as strong as it's weakest link. Therefore, if people can talk endlessly about capacitors, resistors, valves, diodes, et al without getting into a lather about it then let's show the world that cable discussions can also be conducted likewise in a mature and adult manner with no personal attacks or animosity.
Don't join here just to argue about the efficacy or otherwise of cables - there are more than enough hi-fi, AV and audio forums available for you to go to for a recreational squabble and bicker elsewhere if you must indulge in that behaviour. It won't be tolerated here.
Words like delusional, placebo, expectation bias and such-like, will not be used on this forum with no apologies for that. None of those words are applicable to what we actually hear with cable differences, so do not use those words as weapons in a misguided attempt to win a debate.
So, that will form the thrust of this discussion group. Good, bad or indifferent, your first hand experiences count. If you are unsure, then ask questions, get recommendations, seek advice, but in the final analysis it is YOUR choice, YOUR hearing preferences and YOUR money and nobody else's.
