Well I finally got round to connecting up my new SLIC I/Cs on monday morning it was a bit sooner than I had planned I was trying to leave it 5/6days after I installed my new TQ Black speaker cable saturday morning but failed miserably i think i managed leaving it 48 hrs instead before i installed them They don't have much to beat they are only replacing a set of Chord Company Cobra 3 I/Cs They certainly are not a in your face type of cable quite the opposite in fact they creep up on you with out you realising I am not going to go into detail because I agree with everything Pete has said about his experience with the SLICs he gave a very good account of them and on top of that pete is far better than me for putting into words what his ears hear I am more than happy with them and unfortunately for my pocket I won't be sending them back to MCRU for a refund they are a keeper without doubt Haha you kept that move quiet Trev I seem to recall a small wager? . . . . . . . . . I had a feeling you couldn't resist playing with your new toys and I don't blame you for one minute as I would be the same. Yes the SLIC cable seems to break all the rules that we come to expect from them. Normally we want something stunning to issue forth from the speakers after a cable upgrade at that price level, but no, the SLICs are the exact opposite with no drama or fireworks to draw attention to themselves. BUT, they seem to use guerilla tactics to sneak up on you and even now after some time with them I still get many surprises out of my music collection, which is very pleasant. Collectively you must have spent a not inconsiderable amount of money on various recent upgrades to what others would deem to be mere "accessories" , but I get the impression it has been money well spent for you?
